Castuera

The Castuera greenfield solar park is located in Extremadura in western Spain, about 150 km north of Seville. The facility was constructed by the German solar company IBC SOLAR and started operation in August 2008.

The plant was purchased after the successful completion of the initial start-up phase in 2009. Existing project financing from the Spanish bank Caja de Ahorros del Mediterraneo (CAM) was acquired as part of the deal.

The photovoltaic facility is fully-integrated into WOC’s online monitoring system, which allows daily analysis of the production data.
