Algarrobo II
The Algarrobo II greenfield solar park is located in the Andalusia region of southern Spain. It started operation in June 2010 after completion and a successful initial start-up test.
The facility uses 29,106 thin film modules manufactured by First Solar. The facility is integrated within WOC’s monitoring system, which offers real-time performance analysis. This facilitates a quick response in the event of technical breakdowns.
Long-term project financing for the facility was drawn up with HSH Nordbank, and supported by a low-interest subsidy from the KfW development bank. A robust funding model was designed, taking into account the earnings potential of the plant.
