Tombeboeuf

The Tombeboeuf greenfield solar park was constructed in 2011 in the Aquitanien region in southwestern France, some 100 km east of Bordeaux. It went into operation in August 2011.

Thin film solar modules made by First Solar and converters made by SMA were selected during the planning phase. The location in southwestern France is ideal for solar energy production because of its solar radiation levels of more than 1,470 kWh/m². The PV plant is also integrated within WOC’s online monitoring system, which allows real-time performance analysis. This ensures that potential disruptions to production can be quickly identified and repaired.

Long-term project financing for the facility was arranged in conjunction with HSH Nordbank, supported by a low-interest subsidy from the KfW development bank. The PV plant is also integrated in an online monitoring system, which allows real-time performance analysis. This ensures that potential disruptions to production can be quickly identified and repaired.
