Guenin
The Guenin rooftop solar park was constructed and put into operation in October 2011 by the solar firm AE3000, and was purchased as part of a portfolio deal involving a total of five facilities. The plant is located in Brittany, northwest France, some 50 km north of Lorient.
Guenin is constructed on the roofs of two storage depots. The buildings are freestanding, ruling out the casting of shadows by neighboring properties. Monocrystalline modules from Sunpower were selected during the planning process. They have a module efficiency rating of over 18 percent. Sunpower provides a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty and a 25-year performance guarantee.
Long-term project financing was arranged through a French bank.
